PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans was founded in 1978 by Phyllis Jordan, a pioneer in the coffee industry that demonstrated better beans, superior roasting techniques, and pure passion for the art of coffee-making mattered. PJ’s Coffee serves a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages using only the top 1% of Arabica beans, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries.

PJ’s famous iced coffees are brewed daily using a special cold-drip process that protects the flavor and strength of the beans, while producing a coffee that is 2/3 less acidic – a process pioneered by our founder (Phyllis). Bags of whole bean coffee and single serve cups of PJ’s Coffee are available for sale in-store and online.

Involvement in the development, build out, and first year operating the store is required for all franchisees (if not possible- appoint someone who can dedicate full attention to this for first year). Once a store has been open for 12+ months, absentee & semi-absentee ownership are then optional.

A franchisee is to hold manager accountable for following all processes and procedures approved by PJ’s Coffee corporate support system every day by having manager send updates and reports from them via their chosen communication platform.

Manager or franchisee’s daily and annual duties include (but are not limited to) maintaining staff to be able to operate every day at approved hours, checking sales and deposits daily, maintaining clean store up to health codes, updating trade-dress when necessary, be sure the location is being marketed appropriately per PJ’s corporate standards, and last but definitely not least…serving the freshest and best cup of quality coffee in town!
